Astralix Debut with Groovy Gem ‘The Rhythm Fills My Soul’

Things change and artists evolve. We always welcome it; creative regeneration is what keeps the world and society turning. Astralix is the product of such process: guided by an old acquaintance of ours – Park City rocker Gary Dranow – the project focuses on music that’s entirely different. Leaving guitars and distortion behind, Dranow teams up with Chris Zoupa (from The Manic Emotions) to deliver catchy and contemporary EDM-powered anthems.

‘The Rhythm Fills My Soul’ is Astralix’s debut effort, and as such it’s rather impressive. Built as a pop gem, the record finds its identity in groovy electronic beats and bright synthetisers, encapsulating years of EDM and synth-pop stylings into one sole irresistible slice of goodness. Charming and fierce female vocals complete what’s an already compelling sonic formula.

Lyrically, ‘The Rhythm Fills My Soul’ is all about uplifting energy and fun. As the record declares: “I’m going downtown / Tonight’s the night for fun / No time for feelin’ down / The party’s just begun. / Lights flashing all around / Bass pumping through the ground / This night, we own the town”.
