Andrew Rowan Unveils Nuanced, Creative Piece ‘HOT SALAMI’

It’s quite hard to put a piece such as ‘HOT SALAMI’ in context, especially for the casual listener. You see, the record finds its strength in its author’s heightened artistic baggage, a visionary allure allowing Andrew Rowan to borrow from a multitude of diverse influences. The result is a slice of music that’s neither here nor there, simply existing in its own space-continuum. To us, ‘HOT SALAMI’ reminds us of a melancholic contrast between neo-classical melodism and modern timbres, a clash of cultures and intents that’s not digestible for everybody.

Yet, if one is bold enough to accept Rowan’s holistic creative vision, something magical happens. You see, ‘HOT SALAMI’ is a truly cathartic piece, building a decadent and nostalgic emotional flair for whoever might require it. With a minimalist beat and organ-like tones, the record also showcases Andrew’s abilities as a composer and orchestrator, skills that have secured him a long career in the art field.

‘HOT SALAMI’ is taken from the New York-based musician’s upcoming EP ‘SECOND ECOSYSTEM’. Favouring short-form melodic and harmonic development, the EP will also be accompanied by short, looping GIFs, moving iterations of the cover painting by Karl McComas-Reichl.
