Catie Turner Shares Debut Album ‘Blue Alchemy’

‘Blue Alchemy’ is a kaleidoscopic record that feels incredibly personal, yet widely relatable, a slice of honest, meaningful gems steeped in hypnotic melodism and catchy choruses.

Marking a new milestone in Catie Turner‘s career, ‘Blue Alchemy’ is the Los Angeles-based songstress’ debut album, a kaleidoscopic record that feels incredibly personal, yet widely relatable, a slice of honest, meaningful gems steeped in hypnotic melodism and catchy choruses. Produced across sessions with Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer Drew Pearson (Kesha, The Veronicas), Carobae, Jack Ritter, John Mark Nelson, and Drew Polovick, the LP also features the lead single ‘Girls’ Girl’, which is shipping with a wonderful music video.

From a sonic standpoint, ‘Blue Alchemy’ sees Catie Turner embracing an eclectic stream of indie-pop goodness, shifting between anthemic cuts such as ‘Rich Housewives’ and more intimate offerings, such as the evocative ‘Hurt You Know’. We can safely say that Turner is very comfortable delivering an uplifting pop hook as much as she is singing her heart out during a slow-paced ballad. This is the kind of versatility that’s make-or-break for a popstar, and Catie has passed the test with full marks.

Delving deeper into the record, Turner explains:“This album is a masterclass in rolling with the punches; I am figuring out myself and how to survive in the world as an avoidant with huge feelings. It’s an introduction to not only the public, but to myself, on who I am as an artist: a contradiction, which I think just means I’m human…” We appreciate the authentic ethos that lies behind the album, a close look at who Catie Turner is, and what she has to offer. No wonder she’s becoming such a prominent figure in the global pop scene!
