Tallulah Rendall Unveils Meaningful Album ‘Only Human’

In ‘Only Human’, Rendall does not put up a facade, nor is she looking to appeal to any mainstream movement. Simply, the album explores the fragility of the human condition, doing so while drawing inspiration from Tallulah’s own lived experience.

A familiar name on our publication, Tallulah Rendall has always stood out for her purposeful artistic practice and hypnotic tones. While the spiritual soundscapes of her early works have taken a step back, the British songstress has slowly transformed into an eclectic, song-driven outfit, encompassing a variety of genres like trip-hop, alt-folk, dark-pop, and a certain leftfield allure. Today, Rendall celebrates a new milestone, as her seventh album ‘Only Human’ is released into the world. In it, we find twelve stunning offerings that feel incredibly cathartic and relevant, as well as sonically rewarding.

The lyrical outlook hiding behind the record is refreshingly honest and poignant. In ‘Only Human’, Rendall does not put up a facade, nor is she looking to appeal to any mainstream movement. Simply, the album explores the fragility of the human condition, doing so while drawing inspiration from Tallulah’s own lived experience. From the trauma of a toxic relationship to the immense grief of losing her father to Covid, passing through the vast emotional labour that still keeps her going to this day. ‘Only Human’ is Rendall at her most radical; vulnerability becomes acceptance and healing.

Delving deeper into the creative ethos that propels the album, Rendall explains: “‘Only Human’ acknowledges the pain but also focuses on my journey of coming through those feelings and emotions. It’s designed to really have that open honesty but also as a resource to inspire people to have those conversations and to know they’re not alone in them, and that there is a light at the end of the tunnel”.

For anyone keen, Rendall is embarking today on a UK-wide tour. Find your nearest date down below (TICKETS):
