It’s been exactly a year since MancUnion’s debut release, ‘Set in Stone’. In the past months, the group have consistently grown their audience and refined their sound, an effort that has landed them a contract with Arbour Recordings. Fast forward to the present day, and the MancUnion have an European tour under their belts, as well as a busy schedule of national shows. It’s no surprise that they were able to catch people’s attention so quickly. Their gritty rock profile, part grunge and part indie, makes them the perfect storm for the British rock landscape.
In that sense, MancUnion thread a fine line between aural nostalgia and contemporary rebellion, weaving a wide range of moods while always keeping the overall energy high. ‘Lift It All / Fade Out’ is the perfect evidence of that: marking the group’s latest record, the double-single moves with charisma and purpose, unfurling melodic lyricism and hard-hitting guitar riffs. ‘Fade Out’ embraces a notable ballad-like character.
