‘Dèlier’ is the arrival point of an artistic journey started in 2024. More precisely, that’s when enfant rouge, as an artistic entity, began unveiling the fruits of his longstanding artistry. Hailing from France, the talented musician and troubadour has been taking to stages for the best part of three decades, both as a performer and as a sound engineer. A founding member of Portobello Noise, a seminal band active in the 1990s French noise scene, Jean-Cristophe Tabuy has now found solace and motivation in enfant rouge, his solo moniker.
Functioning as a grand reveal of sorts, ‘Dèlier’ delivers a wholesome and slightly leftfield blend of post-rock malaise and spoken word elegance, oscillating between experimental bits and more conventional efforts. Délier, to sort through and take a step aside. Délier, to arrange and heal the past. délier, finally, to set free and look at everything that lies neither behind nor to the sides.”
