Hanne Leland Unveils Catchy Pop Gem ‘Call You Mine’

Norwegian songstress Hanne Leland is back with yet another pop jewel. ‘Call You Mine’ is uplifting on the surface, yet meaningful in its lyricism.

We first wrote about Norwegian pop sensation Hanne Leland just over a year ago, praising ‘Everywhere I Go’ as “moving with cinematic gravitas, fully supporting Hanne’s luscious, elegant vocals, here tinged with nostalgia and a touch of melancholia.” We stand by our words; everything that Leland touches seems to turn into sonic gold, especially due to her ability to shift moods and references at a moment’s notice. Since the aforementioned single, Hanne has been busy releasing a Christmas album and a Kilie minogue cover, among other things. Recently, she has returned with a stunningly uplifting original single, ‘Call You Mine’

Drawing inspiration from pop heavyweights such as Zara Larsson and Sigrid, among others, Hanne Leland indulges in vibrant and catchy mainstream goodness, laying her wholesome vocals on a kinetic, dance-oriented pop production. What’s more to like? ‘Call You Mine’ is the perfect record for the upcoming summer season: evocative and packed with feelings, yet playful, memorable and positive.

Delving deeper into the meaningful ethos the propel the single, Leland explains: “I wrote this song a couple of years ago, and it’s about that lingering feeling at the start of a relationship, when you’re not quite sure whether you’re officially together or not. It’s that exciting, all-consuming rush of falling in love.” We suspect a large number of people will relate to that. Once again, Hanne confirms her acute, introspective songwriting flair, a quality that enables her to craft purposeful material.
