Originally written by Michelle Bond and Brad Johnson, ‘Game of Love’ is the result of a committed songwriting retreat in California, where the two first met. Mentioning Fleetwood Mac as one of their influences, Bond and Johnson were able to deliver engaging storytelling and a mysterious storyline, the perfect match for the record’s uplifting, bouncy production and its chill vibes.
Delving deeper into ‘Game of Love’, Michellar explains: “We were both attending a songwriting retreat in the San Bernardino mountains in May of this year. We wanted to create a song with a looping backtrack that centred on Love and the many ways that people can make a game out of it.” Producer Marius Alexandru helped make the production cohesive and balanced.
