Shervin Boloorian Reflects On Loss and Resilience in Latest Piece ‘One More Day’

It’s good to have Shervin Boloorian back with new music. Writing about his previous effort, ‘My Free Heart’, just over a month ago, we proudly celebrated the project as “penning relatable, poignant records with empowering lyricism and meditative arrangements.” In reality, Boloorian is much more than just a songwriter and a creative. Iranian-born and now based in Bali, the talented figure has been developing a wide range of cathartic and meditative expertise, ranging from sound therapy to literature. Whichever way you look at it, Shervin is a man on a mission, a gifted, purposeful human being.

Enough with the praises; Boloorian has recently returned with yet another stunning musical piece, ‘One More Day’, a tender, gentle slice of folk-leaning goodness. As always, the talented troubadour’s vocals feel rather angelic and hypnotic, connecting with the listener on a deeper level. Produced by Kipper Eldgrige, the record uncovers a meaningful journey through hope and resilience, seeking to inspire us all to endure life’s darkest moments with faith and strength. Loss is a particularly relevant theme in this context.

As Shervin explains: “The hardest part isn’t saying goodbye, it’s uncovering the parts of grief that keep resurfacing. I didn’t realise how much sadness I’d buried beneath my own mask until long after losing my mother to cancer six years ago, and my father a year and a half later.”
