Alison Martino Returns with Tender, Soothing Single ‘Put It All Down’

Following up on her wonderful debut EP ‘Back Here’, released earlier this summer, talented songstress Alison Martino has now returned with ‘Put It All Down’, a soothing, heartwarming folk jewel that crowns a stunning year for the Los Angeles-based artist. Championing folk and indie-folk territories, Martino’s music feels rather special and meaningful, here delivered with exceptional kindness and tenderness. ‘Put It All Down’ is even more powerful in that regard, with a stream of cinematic textures layered over hypnotic acoustic guitars and organic instrumentation.

Martino’s vocals are truly dreamy and expansive, constantly bundled up into a hard-hitting cluster of harmonies. The result is a tone that’s hazy and feverish, a cathartic invitation to embrace authentic escapism. Alongside Martino, ‘Put it All Down’ features the help of longstanding collaborator Yan Clermont, helping the American songwriter venture into eclectic territories; mainly folk, but indie and Americana influences are never that far away.

Delving deeper into ‘Put It All Down’, Alison explains: “It’s a reminder to ground yourself in the present even when the world around you is chaotic, to offer grace to yourself and the ones you love, and to lean on your people as you let go of what no longer serves you. It’s about being the friend you wish you had and appreciating the people who show up for you.”
