One Man Boycott Uncover Meaningful Pop-Punk Album ‘Face For Radio’

A blazing pop-punk outfit, One Man Boycott has recently unveiled their latest album, a collection of magnetic and bold pieces layered under meaningful and personal lyricism. Spearheaded by head honcho Joe Brewer, the band hails from North Devon with unmistakable charisma and fierceness, offering a contemporary twist on early ‘2000s college punk and mainstream supergroups (think Blink 182, Sum 41). ‘Face For Radio’ is the album in question, a keen throwback for any nostalgic listener out there. Yet, it’s also a vivid, substantial record, and it certainly must feel contemporary and relevant for Brewer.

You see, the British songwriter and singer reflects on painful and challenging personal experiences, channelling mental health battles among relapse and recovery cycles, all delivered with limitless, euphoric optimism. It’s clear that Brewer is not giving up anytime soon, and judging by what we can hear in ‘Face For Radio’, One Man Boycott appears to be living a dream right now.  It’s a band on the verge of something great, and we suspect that a wide audience will relate to their vulnerable, honest lyricism.

Delving deeper into the album and project, Brewer explains: “It’s really powerful to have made the mistakes and experience the life you don’t want to lead but manage to get out while you still can. I have these visions of how I want this band to sound & progress with the fans alongside me, I know it’s up to me to make those things happen. I guess this is me running away from that version of life that I just can’t lead, and I’m running as fast as I can.”
