Toronto-based Mount Mural present themselves elegantly and mysteriously: “juxtaposed beauty and darkness”, they eloquently explain. After listening to ‘Soon’ we totally get what they mean. Championing a lush and hazy guitar-powered formula, Mount Mural lace it all with sparks of gloominess and noisy distortions, yet never losing the deep ‘floating’ feeling that’s one of the project’s foundational character.
Part dream pop and part shoegaze, ‘Soon’ moves with cathartic and hopeful flair, revealing a listening experience that gets described as ‘neutral’ by Mount Mural themselves.
