We have already spoken at length about ‘This Ain’t the Day I Die’, featuring the record earlier this year, as a means to bring some focus back on American low-rock outfit Hyporadar. In fact, the song itself has travelled quite a lot in the past few years; originally featured on the project’s debut album back in 2023, ‘This Ain’t the Day I Die’ found its way back to the limelight earlier htis year and yet again right now, being remastered by Colin Leonard at SING Mastering in Atlanta.
Apparently, Leonard said he saw “a lot of potential” in Hyporadar, something that we relate to and that we can certainly get behind. Despite the production in ‘This Ain’t the Day I Die’ feeling quite lo-fi and understated, the record carries a great deal of freshness and cathartic energy, and we are confident that Hyporadar can greatly grow from it. It’s also a catchy, dance-inducing tune, a piece that could appeal to a wider audience.
Known by day as Shane Duquette, Hyporadar is working behind the curtains, and we wouldn’t be surprised to receive new music from him soon… if there’s anything that ‘This Ain’t the Day I Die’ proves, it is that the American creative has found a fitting, working formula, on that can be adapted to new records.
