A fierce explorer of anything leftfield and with a distinct Arabic influence, the talented Israeli songstress has developed an elegant, boundary-pushing character that’s unlike anything else we have heard before.
Recently, Zohara has returned with a personal, authentic rendition of Björk’s ‘Jóga’, here treated to the project’s cathartic, vibrant aural energy. Fusing trip-hop-flavoured electronica with Middle-Eastern flair, the rising visionary deeply connects with the record’s lyrical ethos, especially regarding love, the uncertainty it holds, and the beauty of danger.
