Hadriaan Unleashes Cinematic New Album ‘Shine’

There’s a certain aura of mystery around Hadriaan. Crafting anthemic, cinematic and haunting sonic matter, the Parisian creative finds a worthy refuge in personal and introspective territories, penning material that’s sharp and hard-hitting, both from a production standpoint and lyrical perspective. ‘Shine’ is the perfect evidence of that. Hadriaan’s latest album, the record it’s a compelling and expansive look into the French troubadour’s artistic universe.

It’s a space we comfortably feel as if we belong. After all, we place heightened attention on anything poignant and evocative. ‘Shine’ does a good job of building a strongly hazy and emotional panorama, one that’s rather elegant and luscious, with a sea of textures and cinematic drums weaving in and out of modern pop and liminal, more leftfield pieces. Hadriaan’s nuanced vocals introduce us to the album’s imaginative storytelling.

Narrating a hidden journey of evolution and resurgence, ‘Shine’ is truly authentic and wholesome. As Hadriaan explains: “a personal and universal manifesto. The title track stands as a cornerstone of the project, embodying the desire to break free from the shadows, make a mark, find one’s light, and ultimately shine brightly. It symbolises the journey through inner darkness towards dawn, a work that speaks to the personal while aiming for the universal.”
