Nothing better than a nostalgic slice of rock’n’roll euphoria, especially if emerging from a rather legendary outfit. ‘Loser’ is exactly that, a deep dive into classic rock territories with an evocative, ballad-driven pop twist. Such a powerful record comes courtesy of the seminal Dutch group Wild Romance, a well-known act with decades of successful activity, including hundreds of sold-out shows across Europe every single year.
Originally founded by the late Dutch icon Herman Brod, Wild Romance has now found another worthy vocalist in Belgian powerhouse Jo de Roeck, bringing newly found energy and immense charisma to an already monumental project. ‘Loser’ is the perfect evidence of that, with de Roeck stadium-ready, anthemic and raw vocal tone towering a vintage concoction of roaring guitars and towering drums. What more could we wish for? Rock’n’roll isn’t dead yet!
What’s more, ‘Loser’ anticipates an upcoming, long-awaited brand new album, expected on August 29th. Speaking about the single, Wild Romance explains: “It explores the bittersweet nature of love and life, emphasising that experiencing loss is essential to truly appreciate our victories. It invites listeners to embrace both the ups and downs, reminding us that every setback can lead to greater rewards and deeper connections.”
