Well, the talented creative doesn’t leave us longing for more, having just released another impressive offering. ‘Lost Ourselves’ reiterates the project’s strong points, with fringe alt-pop steeped in atmospheric, leftfield electronica. WUNDER BETA’s evocative and elegant vocals are more charming than ever, busy delivering smooth, nostalgic melodies with an introspective twist. As always, she’s writing about her own experiences, with music representing an explorative tool into her rich, ever-changing consciousness.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, WUNDER BETA explains: “I wrote this song just after waking up from a vivid dream, while doing my Morning Pages. I often wake up feeling like I’ve lived another life while I was sleeping. The visuals, the emotions, even the smells linger as if all really happened. As I was writing, I realised there was a song hidden in that feeling. It captured that moment when intimacy is slipping through your fingers, when doubt creeps in, but then something shifts.”
