9 o’clock Nasty Drop Latest Cut ‘Love In The Circle’

Leicester-based creative outfit 9’ o’clock Nasty has been rather productive lately. Championing an artistic ethos that’s unapologetic, rupturous and bold, the British group navigates punk-rock territories with heightened eclecticism, ranging from all-out, anthemic cuts to more reflective, haunting tunes. The project’s latest effort, ‘Love In The Circle’, firmly commits to the latter category, engaging on playful, groovy beats and hypnotic, repetitive songwriting.

Leaving their rock influences behind, the talented humans behind 9 o’clock Nasty jump with both feet into a rap-flavoured instrumental, all topped with whimsical, quirky storytelling, the kind of song that steals the listener’s attention from the very first line. Taken from the band’s upcoming album ‘Chaos’, ‘Love In The Circle’ is quite an impressive offering, especially when considering the trajectory endured by the British musicians over the past few years – from noisy, rebellious punk-rock to more nuanced relatability.

Featuring members Pete Brock (guitar, vocals), Ted Pepper (bass, vocals), and Sydd Spudd (drums), 9 o’clock Nasty appear fully committed to constantly evolving and building on their success (they have amassed a sizeable number of views on YouTube alone). Delving deeper into ‘Love In The Circle’, they explain: “Infatuation. Desire. Poor judgment. All set to a smooth, slithering beat and bass that oozes from your skin and dries in the chill of the night.
